General Meeting Minutes

Welcome and introduction (Mitzi): Introduction of Chapter and President.

Introduction of NEW members (Kris): Mitzi announced new members and asked those present to stand and introduce themselves. She invited nonmembers to join.
Introduction of ALL attendees (Mitzi): Meeting attendees introduced themselves.
Minutes Approval (Sara for Lori): Minutes from our November and December meetings were emailed to members and approved by those in attendance today.
Dues Structure Change (Susan): Susan mentioned the Board voted to change the meeting fees: 1) $25 for pre-registration, and 2) $35 at the door. November roundtable is free to deputy members, and December Party is free to all members.
Programming (Sara): Sara asked members to see her about potential speakers.
Education Update (Michele): Michele gave an update on upcoming educational opportunities.
Treasurer’s Report (Susan): Susan reported 2007 net income of $6571.49. Checking account balance $9,134.05 and investment account balance $3,000.
2008 Members Annual Calendar (Mitzi): Mitzi mentioned the new 2008 Members Annual Calendar would be included in the 1st quarter newsletter and posted on the Chapter website. She suggested calendars be marked accordingly.
2008 RIMS Annual Conference in San Diego April 27 – May 1 (Mitzi): Early bird registration deadline is Feb. 29th! Price goes up $100 starting March 1, then up $200 after March 28. Why you should attend (see attachment). Go to www.RIMS.org to find out more!

Speaker Introduction (Sara): Sara introduced today’s speaker: Carla Huddleston, AAI, VP of Wells Fargo Insurance Services Southeast, Inc., topic “Your Broker Should . . .”
Thank Speaker (Mitzi): Mitzi thanked speaker and presented a gift.
